Job Summary
Position Overview:
Adaptek Systems is seeking top notch mechanical design engineer to assist in the design &
development of custom automated systems. The ideal candidate for this role would
possess a strong mechanical design knowledge attention to detail understanding of
machining tolerances strong communication and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities Include:
Designing of automated mechanisms fixturing and machines from quoted
concepts and budgets.
Sourcing and integration of components such as actuators robotics feeders
sensors and material handling components.
Utilization of ERP procurement software to purchase all needed vendor parts.
Detailing & dimensioning of mechanical components to Adaptek design standards
for internal machining and fabrication processes.
Ability to address design or function related questions from the machining or
assembly departments.
Design budget management (design hours & mechanical material costs)
Execution of design within approved schedule.
Work closely with other project team members (electrical & controls engineers).
Ideal Qualifications:
ME or MET bachelors degree in related field.
Experience in custom automation machine design.
Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor software.
Strong Microsoft Excel & Word skills.
Basic understanding of pneumatic & hydraulic systems & schematics.
Strong trouble shooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
