Job Summary
Skillsource is seeking on behalf of our client a Refrigeration Technician to join a growing Service team. This role involves the installation commissioning diagnostics and maintenance of advanced heating and cooling systems with a strong focus on air source heat pumps across the Leinster region. Its an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in developing expertise in heat pump technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission refrigeration and air source heat pump systems for residential and commercial applications
- Diagnose troubleshoot and repair refrigeration and heat pump equipment
- Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality service
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations health and safety standards and company procedures
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Refrigeration Technician (QQI Level 6 or equivalent)
- Full valid F-Gas certification
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Full clean driving licence (company vehicle provided)
- Ability to read wiring diagrams commissioning reports and technical manuals
- Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience with R290 or CO-based systems
- Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and system controls
- Previous experience with commercial or industrial-scale HVAC installations
