Job Summary

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join the team in our Hickeys Cappagh Finglas Pharmacy.

This is a newly added role to the store.

This is a 40-hour (Monday to Friday every 3rd Saturday) Permenant position.

The stores opening hours operate between 9 am to 7 pm Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm on Saturday and are closed on Sunday.

The team currently comprises a Managing Pharmacist another part-time Technician role and 2 Sales Assistants.

The responsibilities of the role

Be accurate with excellent attention to detail.
To prepare and dispense medicinal products under the supervision of the Pharmacist in a caring and professional manner.
Controlling stock levels and ordering medicines as determined by store requirements.
Preparation of blister packs and processing and tracking claims.
Reporting to and supporting the Pharmacist in a busy dispensary.

Requirements:

Experience working in a busy dispensary is an advantage but newly qualified technicians are welcome to apply.
Experience with McLernons MPS (an advantage).
IPU Pharmacy Technician course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy
Technician Studies an advantage
