Position Overview The Agritourism Coordinator oversees the planning coordination and execution of on-farm agritourism activities events and educational programming. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality visitor experiences managing logistics and schedules and ensuring safe engaging and well-organized programming that supports the farms mission and revenue goals. Key Responsibilities Agritourism Events & Programming - Plan schedule and manage agritourism events tours and seasonal activities.
- Coordinate staffing supplies equipment and on-site logistics for all events.
- Ensure smooth visitor flow safety and operational readiness during events.
- Manage concessions-building inventory and staffing as well as day-of logistics for events.
Education & Field Trips - Develop and deliver educational programs and curriculum for school groups and community organizations.
- Lead tours presentations and hands-on learning activities.
- Coordinate bookings schedules and communication with schools and group leaders.
Visitor Experience & Safety - Maintain a positive welcoming and educational visitor experience.
- Enforce safety protocols and operational standards.
- Address on-site customer questions concerns or issues during events.
Coordination & Administration - Collaborate with leadership and staff to align events with farm operations.
- Assist with event budgeting pricing and capacity planning.
- Track attendance and participation data and report results.
Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Parks Recreation and Tourism Management or similar education.
- Experience in agritourism hospitality education events or outdoor programming.
- Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple groups simultaneously schedules and logistics in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working outdoors and with diverse audiences.
- Comfort working with and around livestock.
Working Conditions - Weekend holiday and seasonal work required.
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Physical activity including standing walking and lifting.
