As part of the Marriott Culinary Academy you will complete your Certificate III in Commercial Cookery while gaining hands-on experience in our kitchens. This unique program combines accredited training with real-world exposure professional mentorship and career pathways within Marriott International.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assist with the preparation and cooking of food according to recipes quality and presentation standards focusing on attention to detail.
• Follow a food preparation checklist and establish priority items.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food before use.
• Develop strong food safety and cleaning skills to ensure assigned kitchen section is properly maintained.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area tables tools knives and equipment.
• Support the kitchen team in operational tasks and duties ensuring all food is prepared and presented to exceed guest expectations.

About You:

• Passion for the culinary industry and enthusiasm to grow your career.
• Trade Industry Qualification or working towards completion of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (provided through the program).
• Working rights in Australia (open to Australian citizens New Zealand citizens and Australian permanent residents).
• Self-motivated driven and energized in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn from senior chefs.
