We are seeking an experienced and Academic and Admissions Advisor to support students applying to competitive international schools and universities. This role combines application essay mentoring with interview and admissions test preparation and can be delivered online or in person at a learning centre.
The successful candidate will work closely with students and families to help them present authentic confident and well-positioned applications while developing strong interview and assessment skills.
Duties include:
- Mentoring students through the full essay development process including brainstorming structuring drafting and revision.
- Supporting personal statements application essays supplemental questions and scholarship submissions.
- Providing detailed constructive feedback while preserving the students voice and originality.
- Preparing students for admissions interviews including student and parent interviews.
- Coaching students for admissions assessments such as English Maths reasoning aptitude tests and written tasks.
- Conducting mock interviews and test simulations.
- Delivering clear feedback and targeted improvement plans.
- Advising families on admissions expectations timelines and preparation strategies.
- Collaborating with internal consultants to ensure consistency across the application process.
Requirements
- Strong writing editing and coaching skills.
- Experience supporting students with application essays and interviews.
- Ability to guide and mentor rather than rewrite content.
- Strong understanding of admissions standards and selection criteria for competitive schools or universities.
- Excellent communication skills with both students and parents. P
