Manager ()
The Academic Quality Support Section of the Academic Registry is seeking a self-motivated individual for the position of Manager. The appointee is expected to provide administrative support and perform duties in various functional areas of the Section including but not restricted to:
Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the preparation and follow-up activities for institutional reviews and external quality audits conducted by the University Grants Committee such as the QAC quality audit;
- Supervising a small team to support the Universitys academic quality assurance mechanisms such as Academic Consultation Panel Visits Departmental Academic Advisors Scheme and programme accreditation exercises;
- Providing secretarial service to external review panels and the Universitys major committees task forces working groups etc. concerning quality assurance;
- Liaising with internal and external parties in the implementation of quality assurance initiatives and review of academic quality assurance policies and procedures for ongoing enhancement; and
- Supervising the administration of university-wide course evaluation exercises.
Requirements:
- A recognized degree plus at least seven years of relevant work experience in the tertiary education sector;
- Experience in managing academic quality assurance projects is desirable;
- Self-motivation with a positive work attitude strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to cope with changes and work under tight timelines are essential; and
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and proficiency in IT applications skills are required.
Occasional travelling to Zhuhai campus will be required.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test. Suitable candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Manager.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
