Project Coordination & Advisory Lead (Agribusiness & Infrastructure)
Ijebu Axis Ogun State Nigeria (regular on-site presence and travel to project locations required)

The Project Coordination & Advisory Lead will act as the central coordination point between the Sponsor and multiple technical financial and advisory consultants on a large-scale agribusiness and infrastructure development project.
The role focuses on translating Sponsor directives into clear scopes of work managing interdependencies across technical workstreams enforcing documentation discipline and ensuring that technical assumptions align with financial modelling and investor requirements.
Translate Sponsor instructions into clear briefs and Terms of Reference (TORs) for Project Managers Financial Modellers and specialist consultants
Maintain a decision and dependency register tracking locked versus under-review items
Track interdependencies across rainfall drainage agronomy land capex and financial modelling
Enforce documentation discipline version control and audit trails across all workstreams
Identify shortlist and engage credible consultants including:
Project Managers (agriculture/infrastructure experience)
Financial Modellers (plantation and project finance)
Meteorologists and climate data providers
Agricultural drainage and field-engineering consultants
Agronomists and estate managers
Surveyors and land scouts
Conduct preliminary screening covering relevance experience fees timelines and deliverables
Present comparative options and recommendations to the Sponsor
Coordinate sourcing of historical and seasonal rainfall and climate data
Prepare briefing notes defining scope assumptions and key questions
Manage engagements and information flow with climate specialists
Summarise outputs into Sponsor-ready decision notes
Ensure rainfall outputs feed accurately into drainage design planting logic and financial sensitivity analysis
Prepare and issue TORs to drainage and field-engineering consultants
Ensure consistency of assumptions across rainfall soil and estate-layout inputs
Track consultant timelines outputs and capex implications
Consolidate findings into concise decision-ready summaries for the Sponsor
Coordinate information flow between the Project Manager and Financial Modeller
Ensure technical assumptions align with capex opex cashflow and sensitivity models
Identify inconsistencies scope gaps and risk exposures early
Coordinate agronomic and land-suitability inputs across consultants
Align assumptions across all technical workstreams
Organise outputs into pre-planting and post-planting capex logic
Maintain a clear and defensible audit trail of assumptions
Organise technical advisory and modelling outputs into:
Sponsor briefing packs
Investment summaries
Investor and operator Q&A notes
Support Sponsor during investor and operator discussions through structured briefing support
Bachelors degree (minimum Second Class Upper Division 2:1) in Agriculture Engineering Geography Environmental Science Economics Finance or a related field
35 years experience in project coordination consulting research project finance support infrastructure development or agribusiness projects
Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple consultants or advisors on complex projects
Have a background in agric-business investments or a background in investments
Strong ability to prepare TORs briefing notes and decision summaries
Proven experience working with:
Project Managers
Financial Modellers or finance teams
Technical consultants (engineering agronomy environmental etc.)
Bachelors degree (minimum Second Class Upper Division 2:1) in Agriculture Engineering Geography Environmental Science Economics Finance or a related field
Masters could be an added advantage
35 years experience in project coordination consulting research project finance support infrastructure development or agribusiness projects
Good background in agric business investment or general investment advisory
Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple consultants or advisors on complex projects
Have a background in agric-business investments or a background in investments
Prior exposure to plantation agriculture infrastructure projects or large-scale land developments
Familiarity with rainfall drainage or environmental risk considerations (coordination level)
Experience supporting investor-facing or sponsor-led projects
Regular physical presence in Ogun State
Willingness to travel to project sites and attend consultant meetings
