The Assistant Manager at Fit2Run supports the Store Manager in daily retail operations team leadership and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role plays a key part in driving sales maintaining brand standards and ensuring customers receive expert product knowledge and personalized service related to running walking and fitness footwear and apparel.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations
Provide outstanding customer service and ensure a welcoming store environment
Support sales goals through product knowledge customer engagement and upselling
Train coach and motivate team members to meet performance standards
Assist with staff scheduling timekeeping and coverage as needed
Ensure proper merchandising visual displays and inventory accuracy
Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
Support inventory receiving stocking and loss prevention procedures
Maintain store cleanliness and compliance with company policies
Step in as acting Store Manager when the Store Manager is unavailable
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework a plus)
13 years of retail experience; leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Passion for fitness running walking or athletic footwear preferred
Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively with a team

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise as required
