We are seeking a skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design analysis and optimisation of electrical power systems across a range of projects including generation transmission distribution and industrial networks.

Duties & Responsibilities

This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and contribute to the delivery of safe reliable and efficient power systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform power system studies including load flow short circuit protection coordination and stability analysis
Design and review electrical power systems in compliance with the relevant standards and regulations
Support project delivery from concept through to detailed design and commissioning
Develop technical reports calculations and specifications
Liaise with clients contractors and internal stakeholders
Provide technical support during construction testing and commissioning phases

Requirements:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
Experience in power systems engineering (utility industrial or consultancy environment)
Proficiency with power system analysis software (e.g. ETAP DIgSILENT PowerFactory PSSE SKM or similar)
Strong understanding of HV MV and LV systems
Knowledge of relevant standards (IEC IEEE BS or equivalent)
Excellent analytical and communication skills
