Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; some evenings & weekends.

Job Summary:The Student Involvement Coordinator supports the members and leaders of the 600 registered student organizations on campus. Coordinates and facilitates involvement initiatives programs events and opportunities that promote student involvement across the campus community. Serves as a resource for student leaders support organization management and development and provide trainings to support organizational needs.

Additional Department Summary:Serves as a vital member of the Student Involvement team promoting the mission and vision of Student Involvement the Division of Student Life and the University. Provides support for University community members and leaders of the 600 registered student organizations on campus. Works to coordinate involvement outreach opportunities to the UA student community. Assists in the planning process for the offices organization outreach programs (i.e. Organization Takeover and Get On Board Day). Oversees the student organization registration renewal process that occurs annually as well as ongoing organization management. Provides direction and oversight for the offices student leadership development program that supports targeted student populations (i.e. first year students). Completes required training and promoting a safe hospitable and respectful workplace.

Required Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher.

Skills and Knowledge:Knowledge of leadership organizational communication and decision-making in an independent work environment. Knowledge and understanding of the role of students and student development. Knowledge of student programming outreach and student leadership development. Ability to advise teach and coach University students. Excellent communication skills (written verbal and presentation). Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information. Ability to manage multiple priorities and willingness to adjust personal schedule to needs of programming and the necessity to observe participate in and evaluate programs. Ability to gather and analyze complex data and situations in order to draw valid conclusions and make appropriate recommendations. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to deal effectively with the public students faculty staff alumni and external agencies. Proficiency with computers and basic software applications. Ability to develop and monitor a budget. Ability to recruit hire supervise train schedule and evaluate professional and student staff. Demonstrated commitment to supporting all students.

Preferred Qualifications:Masters Degree in Higher Education Administration College Student Personnel or a related field. Experience in student programming advising student groups and organizations student involvement union and other student-oriented activities.
