Job Summary

The role:

The Operations and Supplier Testing Analyst resides within the 1st Line of Defense (1LOD)Operations and Supplier Testing team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting riskmanagement of 1LOD Operations. This position is responsible for performing hands-ontesting activities completing assigned work test work within established timelines andaccurately documenting testing results in accordance with defined methodology andstandards. The analyst supports the testing manager and senior analysts with the executionof new and existing test scripts and clearly documenting identified exceptions andobservations related to test in this role requires strong attention to detail ability to follow established procedureseffective time management and clear written communication.

What youll do:

  • Independently conduct risk based testing activities applying sound judgement and adhering to established operational and regulatory parameters.
  • Ensuring Operations and key suppliers have a sustainable and effective end-to-end control environment by identifying gaps and weaknesses during testing.
  • Adapt test approaches when scenarios or evidence require additional analysis within established guidance.
  • Determine severity and risk implications within defined parameters
  • Document and perform tests to provide reasonable assurance that internal and external processes are operationally effective
  • Obtain and analyze test data from multiple sources following documented test plans testing procedures and leveraging job aids as neede
  • Manage assigned testing timelines to ensure all tasks and reporting are completed within established timeframes
  • Escalate issues with business impact or risk impact to management
  • Assist the Testing Manager in the build-out of new test scripts for previously un-testedareas augment existing test scripts to broaden test scope
  • Assist the Testing Manager in partnering with stakeholders to offer feedback ontesting results and ensure the completion of any necessary corrective actions.
  • Support the Testing Manager in monitoring changes to procedures policies andregulatory requirements to assess their impact on the testing scope and the relatedtest script
  • Collaborate with the Testing Manager to ensure test scripts are comprehensive foridentifying and mitigating respective risks effectively
  • Prioritize competing responsibilities based on workload and demands
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties as needed to support the Operations and 1LOD Riskdepartment

What youll need:

  • 3 - 4 years of relevant experience in audit compliance testing or other control/transactional reviews
  • Experience in banking and/or fintech industry; knowledge of banking products processes and regulations covering areas such as deposit products and consumerlending products.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of testing methodology business processes along with risk and control frameworks
  • Strategic thinker who can partner with testing manager to build expand and improve existing testing scripts and processes
  • Strong organizational skills able to balance multiple critical priorities simultaneously and successfully
  • Maintain strong time management able to complete multiple concurrent tasks within close deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and detail
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to review and comprehend large sets of data; able to synthesize diverse processes and data and formulate appropriate conclusions
  • Fluent in Excel and PowerPoint comfortable with analyzing large datasets in Google suite MS Office apps etc.
  • Results oriented demonstrated achievement of exceeding expectations
  • Self-starter with strong ability to work independently with minimum oversight
  • Inquisitive nature attention to detail diligence and a good attitude
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills; capable of writingdocumentation and interacting positively with management and colleagueseffectively via telephone (Zoom)
  • Demonstrated outlook of positive and productive relationships and successful partnerships with stakeholders
