Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Manage patient care and monitor progress throughout rehabilitation
- Collaborate with physical therapists occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals
- Provide patient education on rehabilitation techniques and self-management strategies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
- Stay current with advancements in physical medicine and rehabilitation
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Current medical license to practice in California
- Experience in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation preferred
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 12p-8p
Daily Volume: 25-28 per day
424-bed hospital with a CARF-accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Program
Will provide comprehensive rehabilitation care for patients with neurologic orthopedic and complex medical conditions
Multidisciplinary Team: Physiatrists hospitalists PT OT SLP nursing social work and case management
Experience in spinal cord injury rehabilitationis highly preferred
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified
