Job Summary

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: One (1) year experience working with children required.

Skills Abilities and Knowledge:

a. Problem solving ability where independent judgment may be required

b. Ability to maintain confidentiality

c. Excellent interpersonal skills

d. Effective oral and written communication skills

e. Proficient with technology (ex: computers tablets etc.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Mental Concentration: Considerable concentration intermittently.

Interruptions: Occur constantly.

Physical Effort: Moderate physical effort in predominantly standing position. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.

Special Demands: Moderate travel. Potential eyestrain. Current PA Drivers License and access to a vehicle.

Special Requirements: History verification showing free of child abuse state and federal criminal record. Act 33 34 FBI Fingerprinting and National Sex Offender Registry search completed. Pre-employment staff health assessment (including Mantoux TB screen) completed renewed biennially. Pediatric FA/CPR renewed biennially.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties may include any or all of the following. This list is intended to be representative.

1. Adheres to agency wide policies and procedures to meet grant regulations and

2. Implements regulations and standards required for program operation such as Head Start Performance Standards PKC Regulations DHS Licensing Requirements and STARS standards

3. Participates in ongoing training and professional development required by the Head Start Performance Standards PKC Regulations DHS Licensing Requirements and/or STARS standards

4. Maintains a commitment to professionalism and compliance with the programs Standards of Conduct

5. Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with program and agency standards

6. Develops and establishes strong relationships with families to assist in the coordination of care and services

7. Participates and assists with child recruitment and family engagement activities

8. Encourages In-Kind participation

9. Performs other related work as required on behalf of the agency
