Job Title: Missions Coordinator
Job Classification: Contract Labor (1099)
Reports to: Executive Pastor
Compensation: $1200 per mission trip
Job Description: The Missions Coordinators goal is to mobilize the church to engage in global outreach helping people take next steps with Jesus both inside and outside the church.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Global and Local Mission Trips
- Cultivate partnerships with global and local missionaries and mission organizations
- Plan promote and lead short-term mission trips in alignment with Journeys vision. From start to finish of each of the individual mission trip options.
- Oversee care communication and financial support of global and local mission partners
- Educate and engage the congregation in the importance of global local mission trip.
- Scout and visit current and potential mission trip partners.
Spiritual Criteria:
- Personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- A life committed to ongoing spiritual formation
- A model of integrity and spiritual leadership consistent with Journeys values
- Active member of Journey Christian Church
Qualifications & Experience:
- A mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- Proven leadership experience in small group ministry and outreach
- Ability to recruit develop and lead teams of volunteers
- Cross-cultural awareness and a heart for both local and global missions
- Agreement with Journey Christian Churchs mission values and statement of faith
