Job Summary
A crypto trader buys and sells cryptocurrencies to profit from price movements using market analysis trading strategies and risk management techniques.
Core responsibilities
Analyze cryptocurrency market trends charts order books and news to identify potential trading opportunities.
Execute buy and sell orders on exchanges manage open positions and adjust stop-loss/ take-profit levels based on market conditions.
Develop test and refine manual or algorithmic trading strategies including intraday swing or longer-term approaches.
Risk management and monitoring
Manage portfolio risk by sizing positions diversifying across assets and setting clear risk-reward ratios for each trade.
Continuously monitor markets volatility and liquidity especially during major economic events protocol updates or regulatory news.
Keep records of trades performance metrics and strategy results to evaluate profitability and improve decision-making over time.
Qualifications :
Skills and requirements
Strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets blockchain basics and how different tokens exchanges and trading products work.
Proficiency with charting platforms technical indicators and sometimes programming skills for automated or quantitative strategies.
Discipline emotional control and the ability to follow a defined trading plan while managing high risk and rapid price fluctuations.
