Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Machine Shop Technician Grinder Reporting to the Supervisor Processing as the Machine Shop Technician - Grinding you will be responsible for general grinding on the weekend night shift.

Work Location: Oakville Facility Ontario Canada

Shift Hours Weekend Nights Friday - Sunday (6:00 p.m. 6:00 a.m.)

What You Will Do

ID and OD grinding of large chrome and HVOF plated aircraft components
Participate in lean initiatives (i.e. 5S TPM process improvement teams)
Communicate and co-ordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts
Observe and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Use of Cranes to move parts
Support and promote continuous improvement 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell.
Multi-task and operate other machines within the cell.
Can fully achieve the responsibilities of the position within a training time of 4-6 weeks.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications We Require

Typically; High school diploma and 3 - 5 years of experience in Grinding/ Lathe/ CNC Machining.
Experience with machine shop practices including lathe Turning Vhone and / or Grinding.
Experience working to close tolerances and solid understanding of blueprint reading and all associated measuring equipment
The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP

Qualifications We Prefer

Certificate of Qualification (C of Q)
3 years of cylindrical grinding experience of large components.

The salary range for this role is 68555 CAD - 94359 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
