Job Summary
- Assist with maintenance work orders as received for various responsibilities throughout the site.
- Maintain a clean working environment.
- Arrange furniture and operate equipment for special events or office moves.
- Assisting with set up and tear down of Pilot Plants.
- Assist skilled tradesman (Electrician Mechanician Technician etc.)
- Participate in meetings and training to gather information and skills to perform certain functions.
- Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
- Transport tools supplies and equipment.
- Set up with functions around the site large meetings and social functions.
- Prepare written materials (e.g. activity logs truck logbooks and inspections).
- Perform preventative maintenance duties on various equipment e.g. (dust collectors rooftop fans/units scrubbers neutralization tank onsite vehicles ventilation hoods etc.)
- Must use good judgment to identify and resolve problems on the job. When in difficulty refer problems to supervisor for resolution.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsible for Snow removal and Grounds Keeping.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
Qualifications :
- A minimum of a high school diploma A post-secondary education (two-year diploma/degree ) in a Science related program (Electrical Mechanical Engineering Technology etc.) is a benefit.
- 2-years previous experience in a related field would be a strong asset.
Specific technical skills: - Forklift license or previous 2-years experience.
- Experience troubleshooting operational concerns and equipment failures.
- Must be able to read understand and follow work instructions in a safe accurate and timely manner.
- Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word Excel Outlook etc.).
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well with others & independently.
- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Experience in or willingness to learn handling of mobile equipment such as forklift scissor lift and skid steer.
- Works well under pressure.
- Extended hours and shift work may be required from time to time.
- Ensures full compliance with the companys Health & Safety Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct policies.
Additional Information :
Salary: $25-30 per hour
