What to expect:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as an operational partner to both HR leadership and business leaders across the this role the HRBP supports the Director of HR in planning coordinating and executing key HR initiatives that advance organizational priorities strengthen workforce capabilities and enhance the employee experience.
The HRBP acts as a trusted advisor to leaders at all levels providing guidance on talent management performance optimization and employee relations. With a deep understanding of the business the HRBP helps ensure that people strategies are aligned with organizational goals and that HR programs are implemented effectively and consistently.
This role plays a critical part in building a high-performance inclusive workplace culture by championing employee engagement supporting change management efforts promoting equity and compliance and collaborating closely with the HR team. The HRBP also leverages data and insights to inform decision-making identify opportunities for improvement and drive proactive solutions that support organizational growth and team effectiveness.
This includes:
HR Advisory
- Serve as the first point of contact for managers for HR products services and solutions; understand business needs and provide HR guidance aligned with the organizational strategic plan and divisional objectives.
- Obtain feedback from leaders and employees to help shape talent strategies and support implementation of development initiatives.
- Support interpersonal relations to help management address workplace concerns resolve issues and help maintain a positive culture.
- Partner with managers as they execute elements of the performance cycle including coaching and addressing performance challenges.
- Help identify workforce needs support hiring processes and provide insights on talent gaps.
HR Programs & Compliance
- Support rollout of HR programs and organizational changes communicating updates and gathering feedback.
- Support the development execution and facilitation of internal training programs.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation internal policies and audit requirements.
- Support the Director of HR in collecting analyzing and presenting HR metrics for leadership decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement across HR processes and programs.
Culture & Engagement
- Support employee engagement initiatives and follow-through on action plans.
- Champion organizational values and contribute to diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts.
- Help leaders build strong high-trust high-performance teams.
Other duties as assigned
This position reports directly to the Director of HR and primarily works remotely from their home office in Canada. CWB has adopted a remote-first working model where employees will work from their home office servicing the client within their specified areas. We are embracing radical flexibility where employees are encouraged to work a schedule that works best for them their team and their clients.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration.
- 5 years of progressive HR experience including business partner consulting or advisory responsibilities.
- HR certification (CHRP CHRL SHRM-CP SHRM-SCP).
- Excellent communication problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian and US employment laws and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to build relationships influence stakeholders and navigate complex situations.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage those over which you have no formal authority.
- Strong writing and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with senior management team.
- Microsoft Office skills.
- Able to effectively deal with inquiries and concerns from all levels of staff.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
The following qualifications would be an asset:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Background in materials joining and allied technology services.
- Bilingual in English and French language
