Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced New Business specialist to join a high-performing regional underwriting team. This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial underwriting experience and a proven ability to lead and develop successful teams. Youll be empowered to drive profitable growth across the region strengthen broker relationships and lead strategic new business activity.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Regional New Business team to deliver profitable growth
- Foster a strong performance and sales-driven culture
- Underwrite larger and more complex commercial cases consistently and profitably
- Build and maintain strong broker relationships to generate quality new business
- Work with the Regional Distribution Manager to deliver the regional sales strategy
- Support the development of underwriting capability and product knowledge within the team
- Monitor and improve prospect quality pipeline strength and conversion rates
Experience
- Proven experience writing Commercial insurance classes
- Demonstrated success in leading or managing a high-performing underwriting or sales-focused team
- Strong commercial underwriting capability particularly with complex cases
- Excellent relationship-building skills particularly with brokers
- Confident decision-maker with strong analytical and commercial judgement
- Motivated proactive and able to drive results through people and process
