Job Summary

1 year renewable contract

Central Singapore

Summary:

The candidate will be involved in optimization of database table/stored procedures/ad-hoc queries to improve application performance and resolve time out issues.
The work involves following up on suggestion by Microsoft SME team and fine tune database configurations and table/index/queries to improve application performance

Requirements:

Possess a degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
At least 8 years of relevant experience in database performance tuning particularly MSSQL.
Expertise in database performance tuning on table and index structure.
Expertise in performance tuning on complex database queries and stored procedures involving complex logic and joins of more than 5 tables.
Expertise in regression testing changes made to database objects and queries.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Good to have

Expertise in Amazon RDS is advantageous.
Backend software engineering skill in C# is advantageous.
Finance industry experience is advantageous.
