Job Summary

A leading manufacturer exporter and supplier of high-quality chains for material handling and allied industries is seeking a Deputy Manager Quality (CNC/VMC) to join their precision machining division in Raipur. The role demands expertise in QA/QC functions within CNC and VMC machine shops where dimensional accuracy is maintained in microns. The candidate will oversee inspection schedules audits and continual improvement initiatives.

Role Overview

The Deputy Manager Quality will supervise inspection activities evaluate quality personnel and ensure compliance with customer specifications. The role involves dimensional inspection rejection analysis and implementation of quality tools to drive improvements in machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise QC inspection schedules execution and record collection; verify as per drawings and maintain records for 3 - 5 years.
• Evaluate qualifications of quality personnel identify training needs and arrange training sessions.
• Arrange inspection of in-house machining products and outsourced materials; maintain records of inspection outcomes (Okay Rework Reject) by invoice party and date.
• Conduct data analysis of inspection reports vs. rejection trends and implement improvements using quality tools.
• Allocate quality control personnel to inspection areas based on dispatch priorities.
• Support and participate in internal/external audits; prepare and implement SOPs across quality activities.
• Cooperate in preparing implementing standardizing and maintaining quality control procedures for continual improvement.

Requirements

• Diploma / / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
• 7 - 10 years of QA/QC experience in the automobile sector specifically machining divisions (CNC & VMC machine shops with micron-level tolerances)
• Exposure to dimensional inspection drawing deciphering (reading understanding ballooning) and inspection report generation
• Knowledge of self-calibration of inspection equipment/instruments
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with quality tools
