Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Equipment Technician to join our team in this role you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will work closely with production managers and engineers to troubleshoot equipment issues develop preventive maintenance plans and implement improvements to increase productivity and reduce downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment including mechanical electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to ensure equipment is operating at optimal levels.
  • Collaborate with production managers and engineers to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment.
  • Train production staff on proper use and maintenance of equipment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Production Equipment Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
  • 3 years experience within a production environment with resultant knowledge of equipment repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven proficiency in the operation and repair of high-speed production equipment is necessary.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
