Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and optimize manufacturing tools dies jigs and fixtures.
• Perform root cause analysis for tooling failures and implement effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production and design teams to ensure tooling meets product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Manage the lifecycle of tooling including procurement maintenance repair and replacement.
• Develop and maintain tooling specifications standards and documentation.
• Evaluate and implement new tooling technologies and materials to enhance efficiency and quality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA) for tool design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as stamping injection molding die casting or machining.
• Proven experience in the design development and troubleshooting of production tooling.
• Knowledge of various tool materials heat treatment and surface finishing techniques.
• Ability to apply GD&T principles and perform dimensional analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with advanced CAD/CAM simulation and analysis software.
• Knowledge of automation or robotics integration with tooling.
• Project management experience related to tooling development or implementation.
• Familiarity with various material science aspects related to tool steels carbides or advanced composites.
