As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within Consumer and Community Bankings (CCB) API Marketplace team you are an integral part of an agile team that enhances builds and delivers trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable manner. You will drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions applying deep technical expertise and problem-solving skills to address a diverse array of challenges across multiple technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge technologies
• Contributes to a team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages with expertise in Java 8 distributed application development REST microservices and Spring Boot
• Experience in modern SDLC practices such as Test Driven Development Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Experience working on multi-threaded high-throughput mission-critical high-performance platforms
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD application resiliency and security
• Experience with cloud-native application development (e.g. AWS GCP private cloud etc.)
• Experience with data security and encryption in an enterprise setting

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

• Experience with build automation using Maven
• Experience configuring Continuous Integration in Jenkins
• Experience developing open-source libraries or internal libraries that are integrated into applications by other internal teams
• Front-end experience in React or any modern frameworks
