Ashford Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic motivated individual to join our team as Theatre Orderly. This position will assist with our fast-paced perioperative services environment.

About the role:

• Transporting patients to/from and within the perioperative department

• Assisting within the operating theatre as delegated by the nursing team

• Providing assistance with patient transport

• Ensuring patient trolleys/beds are available in recovery a timely manner

• Couriering items as delegated by nursing team

• Undertaking cleaning of the operating theatre between cases as per facility protocols

• Restocking and unpacking as delegated

• Waste removal from peri-operative suite

• Working alongside the nursing staff of the perioperative department it is important to adhere to ACHAs patient/client and staff confidentiality with compliance to legislation and ACHA privacy policy.

About you:

• No previous experience necessary but would be desired

• Good communication skills able to take direction

• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team
