Position Summary

This position is mammography-focused with opportunities to support additional imaging modalities based on training and department needs.

You will:

• Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams

• Educate and support patients through often stressful or emotional appointments

• Ensure patient comfort safety and dignity throughout the exam process

• Collaborate closely with radiologists and providers to deliver accurate timely results

• Maintain compliance with radiation safety and quality standards

• Prepare and assist patients for mammography and other imaging procedures as assigned

Key Responsibilities

• Position patients accurately for mammographic imaging

• Select appropriate technical factors to produce optimal images

• Operate mammography and radiologic imaging equipment safely and effectively

• Provide radiation protection in accordance with safety standards

• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records

• Practice infection control and sterile techniques

• Support a culture of patient-centered care safety and teamwork

• Participate in on-call coverage for modalities in which you are trained as needed

• Pursue continuing education and complete required training on time

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required (Mammography certification preferred or willingness to obtain)

• Washington State Radiologic Technologist license in good standing

• Current CPR certification

• Commitment to compassionate patient-focused care

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
