This position is mammography-focused with opportunities to support additional imaging modalities based on training and department needs.
You will:
Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams
Educate and support patients through often stressful or emotional appointments
Ensure patient comfort safety and dignity throughout the exam process
Collaborate closely with radiologists and providers to deliver accurate timely results
Maintain compliance with radiation safety and quality standards
Prepare and assist patients for mammography and other imaging procedures as assigned
Position patients accurately for mammographic imaging
Select appropriate technical factors to produce optimal images
Operate mammography and radiologic imaging equipment safely and effectively
Provide radiation protection in accordance with safety standards
Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
Practice infection control and sterile techniques
Support a culture of patient-centered care safety and teamwork
Participate in on-call coverage for modalities in which you are trained as needed
Pursue continuing education and complete required training on time
ARRT certification required (Mammography certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
Washington State Radiologic Technologist license in good standing
Current CPR certification
