Job Summary

Hiring: W2 Candidates Only

Visa: Open to any visa type with valid work authorization in the USA

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and operate the front-side backend and management networks within on-prem datacenters.
  • Perform site visits to oversee new network buildouts conducted by the operations team.
  • Optimize end-user experience by architecting the network for reduced latency packet loss and jitter while improving scalability.
  • Deploy and support new software releases system upgrades and patches for the network infrastructure environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of vendor products (AMD/Pensando Cisco Palo Alto Arista) and identify solutions that support diagnosing complex issues redundancy and future technology growth.
  • Develop and maintain networking inventory documentation including network diagrams cabling schedules and DCIM.
  • Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving often involving external vendors and support personnel.
  • Ensure the network architecture supports high availability and performance for mission-critical platforms and resources.
  • Monitor the network status of global sites for potential issues or learning opportunities.
  • Train and enable on-site L1 support teams.
  • Occasionally participate in on-call incident response as L2.

Qualifications:

  • 8yearsof experience maintaining enterprise and/or cloud network infrastructure (routers switches NICs).
  • Experience with hosting technologies includingHyper-converged Infrastructure Converged Infrastructure Xen virtualization.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure service technologies:DNS DHCP BOOTP PXE TFTP NTP PAM.
  • Experience developingPython/Ansible scriptsfor automation of infrastructure deployment and metrics collection.
  • IntermediateLinuxskills.
  • Experience with tools such asMAASorInfoblox.
  • Hands-on experience withCisco and Aristaproducts.
  • Arista ACE - Level 3certification or higher (required).
  • Cisco CCNPcertification (preferred).
  • Experience withCisco NexusandNexus Manager.
  • Experience withVXLAN/EVPN overlays BGP routing leaf-spine architecture and traditional data-center architectures across multiple environments.
  • Knowledge ofRDMA network tuning.
  • Experience with non-Ethernet-based technologies ( is a plus.
  • Experience documenting network knowledge bases and operational runbooks.
  • Strong knowledge ofapplication transport and network infrastructure protocols.
  • Ability to create accuratenetwork diagrams documentation and planning material.
  • Ability to explain complex networking concepts to engineering teams and leadership.
  • Ability to create simplified diagrams for presentations.
  • Ability to provide detailed information for hardware and software selection.
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies using documentation and online resources.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Team player capable of working with staff across R&D and other departments.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
