Position Overview

The Human Resources Intern supports the Human Resources department with a wide range of administrative operational and people-focused activities. This internship offers hands-on exposure to core HR functions in a fast-paced hospitality environment while contributing to a positive Team Member experience across the hotel.

This role is ideal for students seeking practical HR experience as part of their academic program with opportunities to develop professional skills gain insight into hotel HR operations and work closely with leaders across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the coordination and execution of HR projects and departmental initiatives
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources team and leadership
  • Assist the HR Coordinator with recruitment onboarding and new hire documentation
  • Maintain regular communication with departments involved in HR activities and initiatives
  • Support internal recognition programs and Team Member engagement events
  • Draft and prepare correspondence on behalf of the department
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail documentation and departmental communications
  • Maintain organized and accurate filing systems (physical and electronic)
  • Assist with general HR documentation record-keeping and data entry
  • Monitor and maintain HR office supplies
  • Attend required meetings and prepare meeting minutes as assigned
  • Report unsafe conditions and follow all emergency and safety procedures
  • Uphold Hilton brand standards confidentiality and professional conduct at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations

Eligibility Requirement (Mandatory)

To be eligible for this internship candidates must:

  • Be currently enrolled in a college or university program and
  • Be completing this internship as a formal requirement of their academic degree diploma or co-op program

Proof of enrollment and program requirements may be requested.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of professionalism discretion and attention to detail
  • Commitment to delivering excellent internal customer service
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic workplace
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook

Previous experience in HR or hospitality is an asset but not required.
