Job Summary
Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Leadership:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for substation equipment transmission infrastructure EPC contracts and distributed energy resources (DER) behind the meter.
- Drive supplier negotiations to achieve optimal pricing quality and delivery timelines.
- Vendor & Contract Management:
- Identify qualify and manage suppliers specializing in substation systems EPC services and on-site generation technologies (solar battery storage CHP).
- Oversee contract drafting compliance and risk mitigation for high-value agreements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with engineering project management and land acquisition teams to align procurement plans with project timelines.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for procurement spend.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements environmental standards and company policies.
- Monitor market trends and supply chain risks in the energy sector.
- Performance Optimization:
- Implement KPIs for supplier performance and procurement efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Engineering Business Administration or related field (Masters preferred).
- 10 years of procurement experience with at least 5 years in energy infrastructure EPC projects or substation projects.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing contract negotiation and supplier management.
- Strong knowledge of power systems substations EPC delivery models and behind-the0beter generation technologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in the energy sector.
- Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills.
Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
- Understanding of renewable energy projects distribution generation and grid integration.
- Ability to manage complex multi-million-dollar procurement portfolios.
