DescriptionThe Special Projects Department is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to be based at the Auckland New Zealand Temple. This is a permanent full-time position reporting to the Temple Facilities Manager.
The Custodial Supervisor ensures that the temple reflects the beauty cleanliness and sacred nature of the temple experience.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in custodial duties to assure that the temple is clean and orderly at all times
Establish purchasing protocols with local suppliers and maintain budget
Direct a custodial team that is united in performance maintains high morale and discipline
Maintain the temple at the standards established by the First Presidency
Make decisions under the direction of the Temple Facility Manager on proper custodial equipment maintenance of equipment cleaning techniques chemicals and cleaning of the temple building
Monitor physical condition of all areas and report maintenance and repair needs to Temple Facility Manager
Perform custodial duties including but not limited to vacuuming sanitizing mopping floors cleaning restrooms/toilets washing carpets cleaning upholstery cleaning windows and other areas as needed
Supervise a crew of full-time custodians by providing training creating schedules assisting in performance management and assigning individual tasks
Train motivate and supervise part-time custodians or volunteers as the need arises
Typically supervises a crew of 10-20employees
Qualifications4-6 years of custodial maintenance or related experience
2-3 years of supervisory experience
Thorough knowledge of important aspects of custodial maintenance including custodial supplies and cleaning chemicals
Familiarity with applicable health and safety regulations
Must be able to lift up to 23kgs
