Job Summary
As an Audit Intern in our Internal Audit Department you will be responsible for assisting the team in executing the internal audit plan. This is a hands-on role that will provide you with a strong foundation in internal audit processes
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of internal audit assignments including risk assessment audit scoping and testing.
- Perform audit procedures including reviewing and analysing financial statements accounting records internal controls (including IT)
- Identify and document control deficiencies and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct research on industry trends best practices and regulatory requirements related to UK Banking industry.
- Support the team in various ad-hoc projects and tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuingChartered Accountancy Final (CA Intermediate completed)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of accounting principles internal audit standards is a plus.
- Prior experience in a finance audit or IT controls compliance role is preferred but not required.
