Job Summary

Under the direction of the NHASBO Executive Committee the Executive Director isresponsible for overall management and operation of the Association and its financial assetswhile ensuring compliance with Executive Committee directives Association policies andfederal and state requirements. Further the Executive Director is the primary representativeand spokesperson for the Association to its membership all developed and emerging alliancesand partnerships the press the state legislature and other policy : Work shall be performed from any location. Meetings are primarily held at Primex 46Donovan St. Concord NH 03301 or at other locations as : All required equipment will be provided with the exception of a personal vehicle that will berequired to perform essential functions of the Duties: Represent NHASBO to the Association membership Tri-State ASBO ASBO Internationaland the ASBO Affiliate Executive Directors Group as directed and approved by theNHASBO Executive Committee Inform the NHASBO Executive Committee and NHASBO members of ASBO Internationalprograms goals and activities Coordinate and provide support to NHASBO the NHASBO President the NHASBOExecutive Committee and all other NHASBO committees Maintain affiliations and relationships with other New Hampshire professional educationassociations and all state departments and coordinate representation from NHASBO Facilitate the planning process for help coordinate and participate in all NHASBO activities(including meetings conferences webinars) Coordinate the ongoing review and maintenance of NHASBO policies and procedures Coordinate the maintenance of NHASBOs website and membership portal(s) and work withthe administrative assistant to include current information training and updates asnecessary Assist the NHASBO Treasurer in completing his/her duties Act as NHASBOs primary contact with Your Membership and perform the duties as theprimary administrator for the YM software Facilitate the growth of NHASBO and pursue opportunities to maintain and improve theorganizations professional image Supervise and support the administrative assistant with member and program services Work with the Legislative Affairs committee in keeping the membership abreast of legislationthat is being proposed that affects the business operations of a School DistrictOther Duties:Finances1) Cooperate in the development of the annual budget with the Treasurer and the NHASBOExecutive Committee2) Provide oversight for the payment of expenses investment of surplus money anddevelopment and submission of monthly reports to the NHASBO Executive Committee3) Perform monthly reconciliation of the Association bank statement4) Ensure that an independent annual audit of accounts is conducted if required by minimumthreshold standards are met for a 501(c) 3.5) Assist the Treasurer in filing all federal and state financial reports and other required filingsCommunications1) Oversee the development and publication of all content for regular and specialcommunications via traditional and social media2) Oversee notices and announcements to members as requiredMembership1) Encourage and promote Association membership to include recruiting and welcoming newmembers and advancing strategies to retain current members2) Ensure that membership lists are maintained and up to date3) Support the delivery of membership information service and follow up on non-renewalsLegal1) Act as the agent for incorporation papers including the legal address of the Association2) Ensure that legal documentation is filed as required for ongoing operations of the AssociationProgram1) Support the administrative assistant in the operations/marketing of certification programs2) Support the administrative assistant in coordinating the development and maintenance of theprocedures for submitting and documenting professional development credits including theissuance of PD and certification certificatesLiaison1) Act as NHASBOs liaison to New Hampshire School Administrators Association (NHSAA)2) Represent the Association at various local state and national meetingsPhysical Attributes: Requires unrestricted mobility stamina and endurance to walk long distances atconferences or events standing for prolonged periods of time occasional lifting ofobjects 35 pounds for loading and unloading vehicles set up and take down activitiesat each conference site and/or event Requires ability to remain engaged for 12-hour intervals during professionalorganization events Requires attendance and participation at conferences and other professional eventscovering multiple days events and conferences generally range from one to five daysor more for approximately 15 events per year Requires a reliable personal vehicle for association travel with a legal and valid driverslicense and personal auto insurance coverage for frequent individual short and longdistance travel Requires occasional long-distance flight or out of state travelNHASBO is an Equal Opportunity Employer in Compliance with state and federal law
