Job Summary: Prepare students for changing world in which they live; provide diverse learning opportunities using scientific inquiry technological & engineering design mathematical analysis and project/problem-based experiences with a Science Technology Engineering & Math (STEM) focus; receive ongoing training for STEM; participate in district and building level professional development; revise curriculum based upon STEM concepts; collaborate with other STEM teachers.

Certification and Qualifications: Valid Indiana teaching license with middle school certification (Grades 6-8) in Math required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assess and document student progress providing feedback to students and parents.
2. Participate in staff meetings training sessions and collaborative planning.
3. Supervise students during school activities field trips and breaks.
4. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students varying needs.
5. Maintain accurate records of student attendance grades and behavior.
6. Comply with school policies state regulations and ethical teaching standards.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during classroom instruction and supervision.
2. Manual dexterity to operate classroom technology and equipment.
3. Visual and auditory ability to monitor student behavior and respond to classroom situations.
4. Ability to move quickly in response to student safety needs.
5. Ability to perform light physical activitiessuch as bending kneeling and reachingas required in a classroom setting as well as lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
