Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Sourcing Manager to establish and oversee a newly created sourcing department within the packaging industry. This role will play a critical part in developing new products building vendor and manufacturer relationships and creating scalable sourcing processes from the ground up.

The ideal candidate is highly experienced in sourcing and product development comfortable working independently at first and excited to build a department that will grow into a full team.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and lead a new sourcing department from the ground up
Source and develop new packaging products from concept through manufacturing
Establish and manage relationships with vendors manufacturers and suppliers
Identify and onboard new vendors and manufacturing partners
Develop and implement sourcing workflows systems and best practices
Oversee pricing quality timelines and supply continuity
Hire train and manage team members as the department grows
Collaborate closely with leadership to support company expansion

Qualifications:

Proven experience in sourcing within the packaging or manufacturing industry
Strong background in product development and new item manufacturing
Demonstrated ability to build processes and departments from scratch
Excellent vendor negotiation and relationship-management skills
Strong leadership and people-management experience
Highly organized strategic and comfortable overseeing all aspects of sourcing

Compensation: $150000-1$80000/year
