Mission or goal of unit:The mission of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is to strengthen the health of our rural community by providing accessible high-quality digestive care fostering strong partnerships with local providers and supporting patients through every stage of diagnosis treatment and long-term management.
Chief Purpose of this Position:The Department of Internal Medicine Division of Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition at VCU is seeking Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Gastroenterologiststo work flexible PRN shifts atCommunity Memorial Hospital located in the scenic and welcoming community ofSouth Hill Virginia.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Clinical
- At least 7 consecutive day commitment
- Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm schedule Sat-Sun (call only)
- 2 days clinic 3 days procedures weekly
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in gastroenterology from an accredited training program
- Virginia licensure or ability to obtain
- General gastroenterology position
- Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect professionalism and civility with a population of faculty staff and students from all backgrounds and experiences or a commitment to do so as a faculty at VCU.
Salary Range:Commensurate
