OurRenewalpractice provides owners and managers with a home for solutions to a wide range of structural envelope and building systems needs for existing properties of every use age and construction type.Our multidisciplinary design and assessment services cover a wide range of needs.We perform condition assessments investigations feasibility studies and peer reviews. We design repairs renovations and alterations and oversee their execution in the field.
The Role
Thornton TomasettisRenewals Practicehas an immediate opening for aSenior Engineer. This position is open toarchitects and engineerswho are passionate about working on existing buildings.Youllbe involved inbuilding envelope investigations and designhistoric building renovationretrofit designdemolition andproperty loss consulting as well as structural repair and rehabilitation.
WhatYoullDo
Perform analysis and design for rehabilitation of concrete steel timber masonry and other structural/architectural systems.
Develop design and detailing for façade and building envelope restoration.
Prepare technical and investigative reports.
Coordinate design work with internal teams and external consultants including architects engineers cost consultants and contractors.
Work on projects involving structural or architectural repair renovation demolition and expansion of existing buildings.
WhatWereLooking For
25 yearsof experience in structural or architectural design repair renovation and/or retrofit design.
Bachelors degree in Engineering Architecture or Architectural Engineering (Masterspreferred).
Training or certification in Historic Preservation is a plus.
Experience with existing building renovation and repair is highly desirable.
Ability and willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally.
