OUR HOTEL

The Met Hotel isentering an exciting new chapter in 2026 having been through a full renovationthat was designed to reimagine every touchpoint of the guest experience. Toshape this next era we are looking for a passionate dynamic andresults-focused Sales Manager to join and support us in continuing to build onthe hotels success. The perfect candidate will be someone with a proactivemindset who can successfully account manage key clients hunt for new businessand ultimately drive revenue into our fantastic hotel. Here you will reportdirectly into the Sales Director and work with a variety of different clientsindustries and segments.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SALESMANAGER AT THE MET HOTEL

What youll be doing...

Reporting to the Sales Directoryou can expect your working day to include the following:

  • Proactively uncover new prospects for the hotel and maximise conversion of new business.
  • Work within current business strategies and recognise potential opportunities.
  • Responsible for the conversion of the hotels new business pipeline across all market segments and heavily assist in converting enquiries and achieving our annual budget.
  • Build and grow the relationships with our key clients.
  • Respond to corporate RFPs and contract corporate accounts.
  • Complete all re-negotiation and re-contractingof annual rate agreements to ensure that new contracts are in line with thehotels agreed financial KPIs.
  • Investigate new areas of business in terms ofmarket development into new territories and market segments to quantifiabletargets.
  • Analyse the local market trends and competitoractivity to identify hotel leads.
  • Production and delivery of the sales performance reports (versus targets KPIs and overall sales objectives)
  • Take responsibility for an allocated portfolio of LNR accounts undertaking complete account management responsibilities for maintaining developing and maximizing opportunities for the hotels and group where appropriate achieving individual targets set for the year.
  • Host clients arrange FAM trips and attend networking events corporate travel and industry events on behalf of the hotel to gain knowledge and new business.
  • Ensure effective communication with other hotel departments to enable the smooth operation of in-house groups and functions.
  • Support in the completion of the monthlyconsolidated board sales packs and the monthly commercial reviews with theSenior leadership team.
  • Input enquiries into SalesForce and ensure the system is continuously updated.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To succeed in the role of SalesManager you will need the following qualities and skills:

  • A track record of sales achievement with atleast 1 years experience in the service and hospitality industry is essentialfor this role - Previous experience as a Sales Manager achieved within the UKmarket with a good understanding of hotel business mix needs of transient andMICE business MICE experience will be advantageous.
  • Strong strategic planning skills with theability to look ahead and put strategies in place to support the plans.
  • A degree of knowledge of all market segments i.e. corporate conference
  • It is essential that you can work well under pressure with minimal supervision and maintain high standards and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication organisational and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Is proactive likes to be creative and has a passion for sales and hunting for new business.
  • A positive attitude and superb work ethic
  • A full driving license.
  • Experience of Opera Cloud or Opera would be desirable.
