Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics School of Public Health(Ref.: 534100) (to commence as soon as possible for one-year temporary term contract with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a Bachelors degree or above preferably in epidemiology public health biostatistics statistics mathematics computer science computational biology or related disciplines. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese good interpersonal organizational and communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility. They should be detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively in a team. Knowledge of quantitative skills and statistical analysis is essential. Experience in data analysis infectious disease epidemiology and proficiency in statistical and computer software (e.g. R C Matlab Python) are highly preferred. Those with 3 years relevant experience or more may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant.
The appointee will assist in research related to influenza and COVID-19 in Hong Kong. He/She will conduct statistical analysis modelling and simulations literature review and data cleaning; prepare publications and reports and perform other duties as assigned.
