Job Summary
Sanctions Specialist position will focus on working closely with legal counsel finance teams and coordinating the effort required for managing the Denied Party Screening (DPS) execution and compliance being met on behalf of IQVIA.
This position performs a thorough or expansive review of screening results assist with responding to inquiries from the operational business legal counsel or other members while working in Denied Parties and Sanctions compliance investigations. The position also supports with the application of IQVIA policies and procedures thus assuring mitigation of risk for IQVIA.
Key Functions of the role include the following:
- The Sanctions review is inclusive of the following: Customer Data Supplier Data and monitoring of SWIFTS on supplier records Small Country Model sanction compliance and other third-party data. (Small country model companies are the ones who report their results outside of the corporate ERPs).
- Investigate all denied parties and sanctions potential matches (false/positives) that arise from the 3rd Party Provider (Descartes) solution to support IQVIA business worldwide/globally. (Full country/small country models).
- Participate on the Sanctions Steering Committee or DPS Leadership (MDM Finance Leaders Legal Counsel)
- Provide Metrics/KPIs reconciliations with the DPS leadership/SteerCo members.
- Management Sanctions Content via Smart Sheet or some other preferred tool/application
- Assist with Mergers & Acquisitions regarding Sanctions Compliance
- Assist with onboarding training and mentoring any new hires or team members.
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook Word Excel and Smart Sheet
- Experience with running queries from ERPs such as PSoft Financials or SAP
- Experience with using Alteryx creating workflows and/or running workflows.
- Sound professional judgement and sense of accountability.
- Ability to make decisions timely when working with information obtained that be considered incomplete or ambiguous or vague.
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all the information obtained from the DPS process or any investigations. Basically must have a high level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive or confidential information.
- Ability and willingness to identify communicate and champion process improvement opportunities which would be benefit the Sanctions process and keep IQVIA compliant.
