Duties:

As a Senior Accountant you will:

Manage end-to-end payroll for salaried and hourly employees ensuring accuracy timeliness and statutory compliance (UIF EMP201 provident fund medical aid etc.).
Oversee the full accounting function from trial balance to financial statements ensuring accuracy compliance and regulatory adherence.
Prepare and process journals monthly intercompany invoices and source documents to maintain proper accounting records.
Assist with budgeting forecasting and financial planning to support strategic decision-making.
Compile monthly management reports including balance sheets income statements cash flow statements and performance dashboards.
Coordinate annual financial statements preparation support audits and address regulatory or internal queries.
Manage tax compliance including SARS e-filing IT14 returns EMP201/EMP501 submissions and liaising with tax authorities.
Conduct reconciliations of general ledger and inventory accounts including month-end stock takes and cost analyses.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses to provide insights and guide business performance improvements.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
Bachelors degree in financial accounting Accounting or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience preferably in an IT or services environment.

Experience:

Proven experience with SAGE accounting software and related financial systems.
Advanced skills in MS Excel and MS Word for reporting analysis and documentation.
Strong understanding of accounting principles standards and regulatory compliance.
Hands-on experience with SARS e-filing and tax compliance processes.
Practical payroll experience including working with payroll software such as Sage Professional Payroll Advantage.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Deadline-driven and results-oriented able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
Ability to perform efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
