Red Ember Recruitment is recruiting a Payroll Supervisor for our client in the East of Johannesburg
- Full end-to-end payroll processing on Sage 300 People.
- Capture validate and process payroll inputs including salary changes overtime deductions and leave.
- Perform pre-processing checks validations and variance reporting.
- Reconcile payroll control totals bank files and GL postings.
- Manage EMP201 EMP501 and IRP5 submissions.
- Ensure compliance with PAYE UIF SDL and BCEA regulations.
- Maintain system configurations including earning codes leave rules and GL mappings.
- Support ESS functionality and payroll system controls.
- Provide payroll reporting and audit support
Requirements
- Completed Degree or Diploma in Payroll Accounting
- 6 years payroll experience
- 35 years hands-on Sage 300 People experience (non-negotiable)
- Experience processing payroll for medium to large organisations (1000 employees)
- Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation and SARS submissions
- Advanced Sage 300 People payroll
- Advanced Excel skills
- Solid understanding of payroll GL integration and reconciliations
- Strong governance mindset and compliance focus
Required Skills:
Minimum National Diploma in Payroll Administration (NQF Level 5). Registration with the South African Payroll Association (SAPA) would be advantageous. Proven experience working with Sage 300. Advanced MS Excel skills (daily user). Ability to lead supervise and train a team of Payroll Administrators.
