7th GradeBaseball Coach

Location:

Monroe Middle School

Position Summary:

The 7th GradeBaseball Coach is responsible for planning organizing and directing all aspects of the middle school baseball program in a manner that supports student-athlete development promotes sportsmanship and aligns with the educational mission of Monroe Public Schools.

Preferred Qualifications:

Coaching experience in baseball is highly preferred
Prior varsity coaching experience is preferred for varsity head coach positions
Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals rules and strategies
Demonstrated ability to teach age-appropriate skills and techniques

Required Skills and Expectations:

Demonstrated skills in organization planning and instructional coaching
Ability to foster a competitive spirit while maintaining appropriate sportsmanship and professional demeanor among athletes staff and spectators
Commitment to setting and enforcing high standards of academic achievement behavior and eligibility for all student-athletes
Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with administration teachers support staff maintenance/custodial staff and other school employees
Ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes at all times

Additional Information:

The coach is expected to comply with all Monroe Public Schools policies MHSAA rules and district athletic department guidelines
Successful candidates must meet all district and state coaching requirements prior to the start of the season
