The Opportunity

Orrcon Steel Manufacturing is looking for a Customer Service Officer to join our sales team based in Salisbury. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands.

As a Customer Service Officer you will ensure exceptional customer service in each interaction. Working within a friendly and inclusive team you will be a key contact for sales and service enquiries. Your can-do attitude and communication skills will be fully utilised as you offer our existing customers solutions including keying orders and quotations providing product and pricing advice and managing a variety of day-to-day tasks.

What Will You Do

As part of our sales team you will:

interact with our customers over the phone and email managing quotes and queries
follow-up on quotations and inquiries and working with all stakeholders to convert these into sales opportunities
collaborate with internal stakeholders including warehouse inventory and sales departments to ensure customer expectations and requirements are met - including delivery windows product specifications and delivery timetable
nurture and grow relationships with customers to uncover new business and sales opportunities
continuously look at new ways of improving the customer experience and consistently improving the total value proposition

experience working in a customer service/sales environment
high attention to detail and ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
confidence to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
a proactive approach in building constructive and effective relationships
basic knowledge with Microsoft office and a willingness to undergo relevant training
ability to work closely with others in a team based environment
