Your New Role!
The Administrative Officer within Access Wellbeing and Equity Medical Service provides reception and administrative support to the Murdoch University Medical Service.
Your key responsibilities include:
Providing confidential professional clinic reception services including prioritising and scheduling appointments for doctors nurses and outreach support coordinators at the South Street Campus.
Provide specialized financial administration of Medicare OSHC Worldcare Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accident claims/invoices.
Managing all in person and telephone enquiries from students staff and members of the public ensuring needs are assessed evaluated and appropriately prioritised.
Supporting clients who may be distressed or in crisis offering calm and effective first point of contact assistance.

This casual role attracts a competitive casual rate of $37 p/hr $45 p/hr inclusive of 25% casual loading plus 12% employer superannuation contributions.

What youll bring to the role:
Completion of a diplomalevel qualification supported by relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
Extensive professional experience in medical reception including strong competency with practice management software and billing processes.
Proven ability to respond to customer needs positively empathetically and efficiently even in challenging situations.
Demonstrated capability to communicate and work effectively with young adult clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
