The Opportunity
Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a Team Leader Electrical Services HV in our High Voltage team based in the Illawarra NSW. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
Working within our Electrical Services team reporting to the HV Senior Leader you will manage a large diverse team of 13 in a dynamic and exciting manufacturing environment. You will ensure that equipment is maintained to maximise up-time performance and improve plant condition in a cost-effective safe and environmentally responsible manner.
What Will You Do
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Provide clear and effective leadership to a large diverse team of employees apprentices and contractors.
- Manage team members in the areas of performance timekeeping leave training and personal development;
- Deliver maintenance outcomes in the areas of safety cost efficiency and strategy;
- Coordinate and supervise breakdown repair activities
- Participate in asset strategy development and ensure maintenance activities deliver required business outcomes;
- Develop effective relationships with Plant Supervisors and other related stakeholders; and
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement to improve team performance.
More About You
We are looking for an experienced and motivated leader. Ideally your experience will include the following:
- Electrical trade qualifications;
- NSW Supervisors licence;
- experience in front-line management of people and high voltage maintenance work teams;
- competence in the application of maintenance management systems and processes; and
- effective communication influencing skills and sound decision-making ability.
