Job Summary

Job Title:             Doc Specialist/COC

Department:      Docs and Disclosure Department

Reports To:        Assistant Operations Manager Docs & Disclosure

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: The Document Specialist/COC is responsible for preparing the Closing Disclosures Final Closing Package and reviewing the closing package. You will work with sales operations team and title/escrow companies to ensure our borrower have a smooth and enjoyable closing experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and complete accurate and compliant Initial and Final Closing Disclosures within the TRID timing guideline requirements.
  • Review loans to ensure accuracy of documentation compliance with federal/state regulations and compliance with in-house loan policy
  • Familiar with regulatory requirements regarding disclosures and mortgage loan documents
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Review title commitment homeowners insurance flood certification invoices etc. to make sure all information is inputted and showing correctly on closing documents
  • Superior communication skills both verbal and written including professional and polite business email correspondence with proper grammar
  • Ability to resolve complex issues with minimal supervision
  • Strong time management skills to plan and organize a high daily volume with deadlines
  • Must be a team player and work constructively and collaboratively with their fellow employees and title/escrow companies

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Follow policies and guidelines when processing Initial and Final Closing Disclosures and Closing Documents
  • Monitor pipeline and balance workload accordingly
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external clients to provide superior customer service
  • Understanding of TRID guidelines

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years as a mortgage loan documents drawer
  • Experience with BytePro (Preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position is in an office setting with computer and general office equipment. The position requires the ability to move freely around within the department and other department locations
