Position Summary
The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in leading all aspects of daily restaurant operations to deliver an outstanding guest experience a thriving team culture and strong financial results. This role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire coach and develop team members while ensuring operational excellence food safety and brand integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Oversee all daily in-store operations including training inventory management equipment maintenance and cash handling.
- Ensure compliance with Jersey Mikes operational standards food safety regulations and cleanliness requirements.
- Implement systems and procedures with integrity attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Guest Experience
- Foster a welcoming energetic and service-focused environment.
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally.
- Lead by example in delivering friendly engaging and personalized service.
Financial Performance
- Manage food and operating costs to achieve profitability goals.
- Monitor daily sales track key performance metrics and implement strategies to drive revenue and control expenses.
Community Engagement
- Represent Jersey Mikes in local marketing efforts and community events.
- Build strong connections with guests local organizations and the surrounding neighborhood.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant or QSR management experience.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate team members.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including conflict resolution and emotional intelligence.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Must be 18 years or older possess a valid drivers license and have reliable transportation.
- Serve Safe Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Must be willing to train for initial 4 weeks in Chicago (Ravenswood Location). Managers will receive a $500 bonus upon completing training in addition to hourly and overtime compensation earned during training.
