Position Summary:
In pursuit of Audubons conservation mission the Data & Technology team partners with programmatic and business teams across the organization to develop and deploy enterprise data systems and data-driven practices at the scale needed to achieve our ambitious goals. The Senior Manager Impact Measurement & Reportingwill play a key role in developing and managing programmatic and operational impact measurement and reporting approaches and products that utilize a range of data sources to track and communicate progress toward our ambitious goals. This role will contribute toward complex multi-year digital transformation efforts and enterprise-level data analysis and reporting products to deliver impactful technical solutions that meaningfully contribute toward Audubons mission for hemispheric bird conservation. A successful candidate will have significant strengths in impact design impact measurement and data product development as well as comfort and familiarity with a broad range of data analytics data science and data engineering tools methods and frameworks. This position reports to the Senior Director of Data Analytics Measurement & Reporting within the Audubon Data & Technology team.
This is a hybrid position based in Audubons New York City or Washington DC offices. We will also consider remote candidates within the United States.

Essential Functions
Serve as an individual contributor within Audubon Technology with primary responsibility for developing and managing data methodologies and products to advance mature and robust impact measurement reporting insights and data storytelling about our work in alignment with Flight Plan Audubons strategic plan for hemispheric bird conservation.
Design and implement data analysis and reporting solutions leveraging Audubons enterprise data architecture business intelligence tools impact measurement tracking system and other organizational technology tools and resources as applicable.
Contribute to Audubons impact design and impact data strategy implementation; Support design and implementation of improvements to Audubons impact data collection tools user guidance and stakeholder engagement processes. Directly implement low-code/no-code features and manage content within impact measurement data products to support users and contribute to data product feature development and implementation efforts
Collaborate with Analytics Engineering and Enterprise GIS team colleagues on data engineering analytics engineering data science and spatial analytics needs relevant to impact measurement and reporting.
Manage data product development facilitate user testing demonstration and feedback cycles with stakeholder teams. Manage troubleshooting bug fixes and bottlenecks to promote efficient and effective development cycles.
Ensure that data analytics measurement and reporting practices adhere to security privacy and compliance standards including data governance policies regulatory requirements and industry best practices; Implement and maintain safeguards to protect sensitive information mitigate risks and support a culture of data security awareness across the organization.
Proactively act to build and facilitate strong collaborative partnerships among technical teams and non-technical stakeholders across Audubon conservation and functional business teams.
Prepare and deliver written and oral reports visualizations and presentations to executives technical and non-technical staff and external audiences.
Collaborate with Technology colleagues to appropriately administer software tools and applications related to data products and workflows.
Maintain and foster culture of safety.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors degree in Data Analytics/Data Science Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field. Masters degree is a plus.
At least 7 years of experience in data analytics and reporting with a focus on impact measurement and management with a proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large complex multi-stakeholder impact measurement and reporting initiatives. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying impact measurement analytics and reporting products to support program management progress tracking data storytelling and/or decision support in conservation or other environmental or social issue spaces required.
Experience and knowledge of impact strategy and impact design approaches and best practices in conservation or other environmental or social impact spaces required.
Experience with impact measurement approaches and best practices for functional business areas such as marketing development finance and other operational domains strongly preferred. Experience designing tracking and reporting using standard approaches such as KPIs and OKRs preferred.
Success in delivering large data analytics and reporting initiatives in matrixed organizations. Experience transforming how data delivers business value and impact value in large federated non-profit government or other environmental or social impact organization strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience utilizing modern data infrastructure tools such as cloud data warehouses (Snowflake BigQuery etc) data integration and orchestration tools (Fivetran Airflow dbt etc) business intelligence tools (PowerBI Sigma etc) CRM systems (Salesforce Everyaction etc) and other enterprise data tools (such as Airtable) required.
Expert level coding ability in SQL Python R and/or other coding languages for data analytics data science and/or data engineering required.
Expertise in utilizing Airtable or equivalent low-code/no-code development platforms for enterprise-level information management knowledge management or other data product development strongly preferred.
Experience with geographic information systems (GIS) spatial data analytics and visualization strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience applying technical coordination and project management best practices using tools such as Jira required. PMP or other relevant certification preferred.
Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to understand and apply product needs and requirements from a diverse set of organizational stakeholders and to communicate effectively with non-technical collaborators.
Demonstrated experience preparing effective written materials presentations and other documentation and communication materials for internal and external audiences.
Curiosity to stay on the cusp of software and product trends in non-profits and the greater tech industry.
