Job Summary

Role Summary

This position reports to the Director Product Communications will be primarily focused on executing external communications across a range of products that sit within Pfizers Primary Care portfolio including several high revenue-driving and priority treatments. The individual will help deliver both U.S. and Global communication tactics that reinforce brand & business objectives amplify marketing-driven campaigns highlight business-critical data and regulatory milestones and ensure integration across a broader Paid Owned & Earned ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is someone proficient in hands-on execution and navigation of a highly matrixed organization as the role requires continued collaboration with fellow CMO colleagues and with teams across the broader organization including Commercial Social/Digital Global Media Relations Medical Affairs Clinical among others. Close coordination with country communication leads may also be required.

This is an exciting role for someone who thrives on creating highly visible consumer-facing communication programs. It is a role for a budding communicator with a lot of creative energy and who is adept at navigating a fast-paced high-priority space.

Key Responsibilities

Tactical Execution

  • Assist product communications team with the development and execution of thoughtful unique communications plans to achieve the varying goals of the relevant Primary Care businesses. Create engaging compelling dynamic content leveraging audience and brand data to help ensure resonance amongst key target audiences.

  • Support data & milestone opportunities helping define communication approach and developing supporting materials including but not limited to press releases media statements key messages Q&A content for owned corporate social media/digital channels. Assist with securing feedback and collating comments from broader cross-functional team.

  • Help manage issues and rapid-response communications. Develop appropriate communications materials secure approvals and join relevant meetings/discussions.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Assist in convening CMO Public Affairs Legal/Regulatory/Medical Affairs brand teams and agency partners to secure and compile feedback as well as to help keep governance tight and delivery on time.

  • Partner closely with Paid Media partners on creation of brand briefs RFPs for paid activations tracking links and overall integration within the paid ecosystem (across measurement budgets and creative).

  • Help with local country communicator awareness/education/liaison in support of global campaigns data & regulatory milestones and issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent

  • 4 years in product communications; healthcare experience required.

  • Deep familiarity with and navigation of medical/legal/regulatory review processes.

  • Excellent written oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.

  • Wealth of experience developing full suite of communication materials to support a variety of activations including but not limited to campaigns issues and data & regulatory milestones

  • Ability to work effectively across functions and levels across highly matrixed organization and manage multiple projects against tight deadlines.

  • Self-starter able to work independently as well as with teams.

  • Creative thinker comfortable voicing thoughts and ideas with team/partners.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $96300.00 to $160500.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
